Adecco Group implements Agentforce Coworker for 27,000 employees

Adecco Group is rolling out Salesforce’s Agentforce Coworker in more than 40 countries following a pilot in the UK and France, the staffing group announced on September 15. The group said the implementation brings agent AI into the daily workflows of 27,000 employees.

Agentforce Coworker is Salesforce’s AI assistant for enterprise staff. According to the Adecco Group, it is built on the Salesforce platform, runs on Anthropic’s Claude, and supports sales and recruiting work, including client and candidate engagement.

What Agentforce Coworker does for Adecco Group staff

The group said Agentforce Coworker provides staff with a single point of access to data, systems and organizational knowledge previously found in dozens of tools. Depending on the group, sales staff and recruiters can use it to find priority prospects, prepare sales summaries, enrich prospect data, and check prospect status across teams. Recruiters can also screen candidates and launch pre-screening, recruiting or onboarding agents.

The tool will also leverage context from more than 2.5 million agent-candidate interactions recorded since April 2025, the group said.

Adecco Group CEO Denis Machuel said the implementation provides the group’s teams with a single interface that keeps candidate history and client context at the point where human judgment is most important. He pointed to the pilot as proof of acceptance. “Our pilot showed strong adoption within days,” he said. The September statement did not include pilot usage or productivity figures from the United Kingdom and France.

Built on a license signed in March

The launch of Agentforce Coworker follows a multi-year deal the Adecco Group signed with Salesforce in March, running through 2027, for unlimited global access to Agentforce 360. The group noted that “unlimited” access is subject to the terms of its Agentic Enterprise License Agreement. At the time, the group said the deal supported its goal of more than half of Adecco’s revenue being driven by agent AI by the end of 2026.

In its September statement, the group said it has already implemented agent AI in recruitment workflows in ten countries, which it said represents 50% of Adecco’s commercial revenue. The statement does not specify whether it refers to group revenue or to the Adecco business unit, which operates alongside the group’s Akkodis and LHH units.

In the UK, where Adecco had deployed Agentforce 360 agents in parts of its recruitment process, the group reported in March that the agents had helped deliver 15% time savings, along with shorter hire times, higher hire rates and lower service costs. The March statement referred to approximately 27,000 recruiters, while the September statement describes the 27,000 people covered by the rollout as employees.

Figures shared on the Dreamforce stage

Speaking at the Dreamforce 2026 keynote in San Francisco, Machuel said recruiters have saved 35% to 40% of their time through agent AI, CX Today reported. He also said the business has placed 20,000 more people so far this year, which he attributed to better conversations. CX Today noted that these are figures provided by the company that have not been independently verified.

CX Today also reported that the group has handled 2.6 million interactions with agents this year, while the group’s September statement cites more than 2.5 million since April 2025. The two figures cover different periods and neither source explains how the interactions are counted.

The group also demoed Ada, their Agentforce Voice-based recruiting voice agent. According to CX Today, a caller in the demo learned why their app was paused, gave a new certification number, verified it, and saw the updated app during the call.

Machuel described the group’s approach as deploying AI alongside its people rather than imposing it on them. “AI had to happen with people and not between people,” he said during the keynote, as reported by CX Today.

The group’s September statement does not set a timeline for completing the rollout to 40 countries. In March, the group said its next phase would add more agents in the UK and expand the rollout in France and other key markets. It would also expand agency capacity through its nearshore and offshore centers in India, Poland, Mexico and Morocco.
