Brookfield reports on AI Factory pipeline and $25 billion quarterly fundraising – Unite.AI
Brookfield Asset Management announced third-quarter results on November 6, 2026, reporting $25 billion in fundraising for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 along with higher distributable and fee-related earnings. The release also details a pipeline of global projects for the AI factory, placing the AI development within a much larger capital raising quarter.
Credit contributed $12 billion of the quarterly total and infrastructure $7 billion, so the fundraising spans Brookfield’s businesses rather than representing a solely AI-driven raise. Year-to-date fundraising has reached $123 billion. Earnings capital, the committed, pledged or invested capital that entitles Brookfield to receive fees, grew 13% year-over-year to $682 billion, driven largely by $157 billion raised in the twelve months ended September 30, 2026.
AI infrastructure commitments and projects
Over the year leading up to the results release, Brookfield’s AI Infrastructure Fund and Infrastructure Debt Strategy received a combined $10 billion in commitments, a figure that covers both strategies rather than the AI Fund alone. The third-quarter supplement lists the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund as a 2025-vintage vehicle with $3.75 billion in fund capital and $553 million in unrealized investment value at the end of the quarter. The closed-end fund is focused on the development of AI infrastructure and designed around the demand for scalable and integrated solutions from hyperscalers, enterprises and governments.
Brookfield reports AI factory projects running in the United States, Canada, Korea, France and the United Kingdom. This is an execution pipeline, not a declaration that all facilities are operational. During the third quarter, the company signed agreements to jointly develop, deliver and operate an AI factory in the United Kingdom and to invest up to $9 billion in next-generation AI computing infrastructure in Korea through partnerships with NAVER and NVIDIA.
Infrastructure deployment totaled $1.2 billion in the quarter, including $500 million in incremental financing to build a semiconductor manufacturing facility in the United States. Capital employed is separate from commitments and signed development agreements.
Oaktree commission growth and earnings
Commission revenue increased 11% to $1.624 billion. Commission earnings, which Brookfield defines as revenue from commissions minus the direct costs of earning them, rose 15% to $864 million from $754 million a year earlier. The commission-related profit margin for Brookfield’s stake was 54%, up from 55% a year earlier.
Distributable earnings, a company-defined measure of earnings available for distribution to common shareholders or reinvestment, rose 15% from $661 million to $763 million. The distributable earnings calculation included $48 million in earned interest net of costs from monetizing technology and private equity investments.
Net income was approximately $3 billion and included a $2 billion non-cash gain from the acquisition and consolidation of Oaktree. This gain helps explain why net income has substantially outpaced tariff-based measures; this is an accounting effect of the transaction rather than additional revenue from quarterly commissions.
Fees on uncalled capital and potential
At the end of the quarter, Brookfield had $148 billion in uncalled fund commitments across the company. Of this total, $68 billion was still not earning commissions; Brookfield estimates that its implementation would generate approximately $680 million in annual fees. Neither the uncalled balance nor the commission potential are specific to AI. The figures distinguish capital committed to funds from capital already producing fee income.
This distinction is the central qualification of fundraising momentum. Brookfield has a broader compensation base, has signed deals for AI infrastructure and running projects, but additional fees tied to uncalled commitments are implementation-dependent. The next measurable phase is converting committed capital into profitable investments, advancing the AI factory pipeline from deals and execution to completed infrastructure.
