Zillow Launches Claude Connector for Listings, Tours & Financing – Unite.AI

Zillow Launches Claude Connector for Listings, Tours & Financing – Unite.AI

Zillow announced on October 19, 2026, that a Zillow experience is now available in Claude by Anthropic through a new connector, bringing real estate listings, interactive maps, home value estimates and affordability tools to the AI assistant.

Josh Weisberg, senior vice president of artificial intelligence at Zillow, said the connector is based on two decades of housing data and is meant to take users from information to action. “This connector helps Claude users take the next step through Zillow: a tour, an agent, a loan officer,” Weisberg said. “The conversation doesn’t stop at providing information, but leads to a way to make it happen.”

How the connector works

To get started, users open Claude, go to Customize, select Connectors, and connect Zillow. Suggested inquiries from Zillow include finding three-bedroom homes for sale in Denver for under $600,000 with garages, or apartments for rent in Seattle for under $2,500 a month.

Once connected, Claude can surface Zillow listings within the chat, along with interactive maps, home value estimates and affordability tools. The listings contain photos, prices and other details, and each links so the user can continue exploring the property on Zillow. The exchange can continue into the next phase: the user can request a tour, connect with a real estate agent or explore financing within the same conversation, a flow that Zillow describes as keeping agents at the center of consumer journeys.

Zillow said it does not send data to Anthropic. Instead, the company said, the listing view that appears within Claude is Zillow’s MLS-approved submission, reporting the same brokerage and MLS attribution used on Zillow.com.

Technology foundation and fair housing controls

According to Zillow, the Connector builds on two decades of investments in housing technology spanning buying, selling, renting and financing. The company has credited first-party data, rich media, personalized AI models and tools that connect consumers with agents, loan officers and other services for making AI more useful for moving decisions.

Zillow said the same foundation powers its AI Mode on the Zillow app, which the company announced on March 25, 2026. AI Mode is a conversational experience built into the Zillow platform that connects real-time listing data of homes for sale and rent with actions like scheduling tours and connecting with a local agent. It launched in beta for a limited group of Zillow users, and at the time Zillow said it planned to expand the experience in 2026.

The AI Mode announcement describes Zillow’s Fair Housing Classifier as a real-time guardrail that monitors both what a customer asks and how the AI responds, with the goal of preventing discriminatory bias, and notes that Zillow operates as a licensed real estate brokerage. In the Connector release, Zillow said that fair housing reviews by its ethical AI team are part of how it designs, tests and launches AI, that it has published AI principles, and that it has released the Fair Housing Classifier as an open source tool to help identify potential biases in real estate conversations.

Previous launches on ChatGPT and Gemini

Zillow said the Claude Connector extends its technology to another major AI platform, joining Zillow experiences already active in ChatGPT and, for rentals, Gemini.

On October 6, 2025, Zillow launched its app in ChatGPT, which the company described as the only real estate app available on that platform. The app displays listings with photos, maps, pricing and attribution from brokers and MLSs, and redirects users to Zillow to schedule a tour, connect with an agent or explore financing. According to Zillow, the app works with most types of listings, including homes for rent and for sale listed by agents or owners, and the company plans to add new construction listings and immersive 3D tours over time. Chief Technology Officer David Beitel said at launch that the goal was to make the experience simple, intuitive and accessible.

On July 9, 2026, Zillow Rentals launched as a connected app within Google Gemini and Gemini Spark, which Zillow described as the only real estate platform in the Gemini connected app ecosystem. A renter can ask Gemini about apartments that have available tours on Zillow, see matching listings with open booking times in the chat, then click on Zillow to choose a time and confirm the reservation. In listings set up for Instant Tour, the Book a Tour option works on Zillow’s scheduling infrastructure; everywhere, renters see the Request a Tour option. After a one-time linking of Google and Zillow accounts, a confirmed tour arrives in the renter’s Zillow itinerary, with the confirmation coming from the property’s tour provider.

“What matters is that Zillow is there when they are ready to take a real next step, which includes one of the largest AI assistants in the world,” said Michael Sherman, senior vice president of Zillow Rentals.

At the time of the July launch, Zillow said the experience would roll out to Gemini and Gemini Spark users in the following weeks, and that Zillow and Google would continue to evaluate how the integration will evolve as Zillow expands tour availability in its rental marketplace.
