NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops launch globally with support from local AI agent – Unite.AI
NVIDIA on October 16, 2026 announced that RTX Spark laptops are available globally from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI, with prices starting at $2,599 and software support at launch spanning local AI agents, creative applications and core games.
Systems are sold through manufacturer websites and major retailers, with more systems to follow, and prices and configurations vary by region. The launch lineup includes ASUS ProArt P14 and P16, Dell XPS 16, HP OmniBook Ultra and OmniBook NVIDIA is also offering a limited-time promotion to new Perplexity users. NVIDIA’s RTX Spark product page lists retailers including Amazon, Ant Online, B&H Photo Video, Best Buy, and Costco, along with October 16 launch events with live demonstrations in Taipei, Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul, San Francisco, and Berlin.
“RTX Spark brings the power of NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics, and CUDA together with Microsoft Windows into a single PC to build, play, and run personal AI agents,” NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in the announcement. Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s executive vice president, said Microsoft is building Windows as a platform for hybrid intelligence, so that AI workloads can run locally or reach the cloud as needed.
The RTX Spark superchip
Each RTX Spark system is built on a single superchip that pairs an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with an NVIDIA Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory. NVIDIA says the platform delivers up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance, enough to run large models and AI agents on the device. MediaTek collaborated with NVIDIA on the custom CPU design. The platform includes NVIDIA CUDA, DLSS, OptiX, Reflex, G-SYNC, TensorRT, and hardware-accelerated video, and NVIDIA says the slim design provides all-day battery life.
NVIDIA’s specs list two laptop configurations of the RTX Spark N1X. The former pairs a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory; the latter combines a 5,120-core GPU, an 18-core CPU, and up to 64GB. Both run Windows 11 at between 45 and 80 watts and include fourth-generation ray tracing cores, fifth-generation Tensor Cores, DLSS 5, and Reflex 2.
AI agents and developer tools
The setup wizard and installers get users started with agents including GitHub Copilot, Hermes, OpenClaw, Perplexity, Pi, and WorkBuddy, with no command line required. Nous Research CEO Dillon Rolnick said his company ported its Hermes Agent to RTX Spark to allow people to run open models and agents locally on a Windows laptop. NVIDIA’s 24GB Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B, a 74 billion parameter model built for tool calls and multistep tasks, is available for supported RTX Spark configurations.
The secure NVIDIA OpenShell runtime and Microsoft Execution containers allow users to manage agent permissions, while NVIDIA Agent Skills allow compatible agents to work with tools including NVIDIA Broadcast, RTX Remix, and Omniverse libraries. NVIDIA PAIR extends setup across devices: An RTX Spark PC can handle AI inference for compatible Windows, Linux, and macOS machines connected to the same home network, freeing those machines to create and play.
NVIDIA said so, and Microsoft has prepared development tools for the systems, including the first PyTorch-CUDA build for Windows on Arm, the first native-by-default Python build, the first native Conda installer, support for 97% of the top 15,000 Python packages, and coding agents like GitHub Copilot and Pi. The NVIDIA Skills open source GitHub repository teaches agents to use NVIDIA CUDA-X tools and libraries, and NVIDIA says native CUDA support keeps code processed locally on the device with a deployment path to more than 150 million NVIDIA RTX AI PCs and NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud.
Creative apps and games at launch
Adobe is adding NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration to AI editing capabilities in Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance 3D, with native RTX Spark support coming to Photoshop and Premiere via beta releases at launch, and Substance 3D to follow. Deepa Subramaniam, vice president of product marketing for creative professionals at Adobe, said companies are pairing NVIDIA’s computing technology with Adobe’s creative applications so creatives can work with greater power and speed.
NVIDIA Broadcast 2.3 can eliminate background noise from existing recordings and add studio-grade vocal microphone profiles, while RTX beta video capabilities provide up to 4K super resolution and up to 4x frame generation. The new RTX video nodes in ComfyUI can capture AI-generated video at 15 fps and produce smoother footage at 60 fps in high dynamic range, with no per-use cloud inference costs. NVIDIA says the systems can handle 8K 4:2:2 video editing and 3D scenes of up to 90GB while running on battery power.
Game support at launch includes Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Marvel Rivals, World of Warcraft, and NBA 2K27. NBA 2K27 uses DLSS 5 with 3D Driven Neural Rendering functionality, and NVIDIA says a new AI model described as 2x faster, available October 16, boosts DLSS 5 frame rates by up to 1.4x. Peter Kavic, senior producer for visual concepts at 2K, said the studio worked with NVIDIA to bring the title to RTX Spark. NVIDIA says the RTX Spark can run AAA games above 100 frames per second at 1440p.
NVIDIA and Microsoft first unveiled the RTX Spark for Windows PC at Microsoft’s Windows AI and Surface event in San Francisco on October 7, 2026, where pre-orders for the laptops opened with availability set for October 16. Compact desktop configurations of RTX Spark will be available in November.
