Faraday Future Introduces $2,490 Nova and $299 Nova Humanoid Robots – Unite.AI
FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. and Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. announced on October 15, 2026 the joint launch of FF Nova, an entry-level AI humanoid embedded robot priced at $2,490, and FF Nova Mini, a $299 humanoid for fundamental physical AI education, along with new curriculum and developer programs.
Both robots join the FF Robot World 2.0 “One Brain, Multi-forms, Multi-capabilities” range. The companies describe FF Nova as America’s first embedded AI humanoid robot priced under $2,500, designed for developers and the education ecosystem, and FF Nova Mini as America’s first foundational AI-powered physical education platform built around a true bipedal humanoid. A developer skills package for Nova is priced at $390 and the accompanying Nova Mini curriculum at $499. The joint launch presentation also introduced the FF EAI Education Skills “Physical AI Spark Program” curriculum, the Nova Physical AI Reinforcement Learning developer program, and limited, invitation-only recruitment to the Nova developer community.
FFR CEO Jerry Wang said the launches mark “an important step for FFR in bringing physical AI from the lab to real-world applications accessible to developers, educational institutions, schools and families.”
FF Nova hardware platform and developer
According to the FF Nova product page, the robot stands 49.7 centimeters tall, weighs 2.8 kilograms, and carries 20 full-body degrees of freedom split across its head (two), arms (six), and legs (twelve). He can walk, turn, shake and get back on his feet after being hit.
Nova runs at 10 TOPS of computing on the device with 8GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Its sensor suite combines a top-mounted 2D LiDAR, a wide-angle camera of around four megapixels, a 3D time-of-flight sensor, and a three-microphone array that supports sound source localization and voiceprint recognition. Also included are a 2-inch, 240 x 296 pixel front display, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4.
The humanoid offers two modes of movement: walking bipedally at 0.1 meters per second or riding a detachable base with wheels at 0.8 meters per second, with a maximum obstacle height of two centimeters. For interaction, Nova connects to a large voice AI model for natural conversations and voiceprint recognition, and supports AI agent integration, which the companies say allows a cloud-based agent to operate through the physical robot.
The developer platform includes a fully open SDK, ROS 2 development workflow, and continuous over-the-air updates. The companies say they will open up the entire Sim2Real reinforcement learning pipeline and provide a skills store and developer community where skills created by developers can be shared, reused and potentially monetized.
Phased implementation program and reinforced learning
FF Nova will be released in three phases. Phase One is a limited, invitation-only run of 100 units for invited developers and educational institutions, with the first 20 units ready for immediate delivery. Applications must be submitted via Developer.ff.com within a seven day time frame; proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis, call results are announced after the window closes, and approved applicants can then place orders. Pioneer Edition users receive priority shipping, early access to the SDK and developer documentation, sample projects, official technical support, and co-creation opportunities with the ecosystem.
Phase Two will be open to all developers and educational institutions and will feature first development results and real-world application examples, followed by the full consumer launch in Phase Three.
The Nova Physical AI Reinforcement Learning developer program offers support based on the NVIDIA Isaac platform, with an end-to-end workflow from simulation training to validation on physical hardware. Developers can conduct parallel training in simulation, optimize reward functions and apply domain randomization, and then deploy trained policies on a physical FF Nova for validation and optimization. Features listed include simulation training, data playback, reward function setup, and model evaluation.
Recruitment for the Nova Developer Community is open on a limited, invitation-only basis to AI algorithm engineers, robotics developers, educators, maker enthusiasts, and corporate partners. Developers can request an invitation code via developer.ff.com or join via an invitation from an existing developer, and the companies say pending projects could benefit from support through a developer support program.
FF Nova Mini and the Spark program curriculum
The FF Nova Mini product page describes a robot built for children and adolescents ages eight and up, for use in K-12 classrooms, after-school programs and homes. It is 34.9 centimeters tall, weighs 0.94 kilograms, uses an aluminum alloy frame and moves on 17 high-precision servos: one in the head, three in each arm and five in each leg. The Mini walks with a human-like gait, turns, stands up on its own, maintains dynamic balance and can perform a forward somersault. It comes with more than 40 built-in voice commands and more than 50 preloaded moves and dances, and supports visual block-based programming and manual posing, with an AI coding tutor included.
The $499 Nova Mini Physical AI Foundations curriculum, offered as part of the Spark program, includes 16 live, small-group lessons taught over Zoom over eight weeks, with six to ten children per group, and no coding experience is required. The curriculum progresses from “Meet Your Robot” through pose-by-pose controls, commands, and programming, ending with a final session in which students choreograph an original robotic dance and perform it live. Purchasers of the $499 course also receive an exclusive cash voucher for the $299 Nova Mini device, with voucher amount and terms subject to official sales policy.
FFR says it will also work with Montessori organizations, early childhood education providers and elementary schools to develop teaching kits, worksheets and observation and assessment tools.
Sales channels, symposium and transaction context
The entire range of FF robotics is on sale through online and offline channels. Online, products are distributed via FF.com, FF Mall and FF’s official Amazon store, with direct purchase, reservation or request depending on the sales policy of each product. Offline, FF’s direct sales team and partners serve schools, school districts, universities, research institutions, professional education providers, STEM training organizations and enterprise customers by offering product experiences, demos, educational solutions, pilot programs and institutional purchases. FF’s educational season is underway, and Robot World 2.0’s first year-end shopping season has kicked off with limited-time online deals.
FFAI and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics jointly hosted a symposium on frontier engineering and technologies at FFAI headquarters, attracting more than 50 invited scholars and professors. Attendees experienced the FF EAI Robotics Education ecosystem and EAI Data Factory and discussed joining the FFR developer platform.
The launches follow definitive agreements signed by FFR and FFAI on October 12, 2026 for FFR to acquire FFAI’s robotics business and operations in an all-stock transaction at a valuation of approximately $200 million, with FFR issuing shares at $2,246 each, a premium of approximately 50% to the closing price of $1.50 on the signing date. At closing, FFAI will own approximately 65.7% of FFR, with the newly issued shares subject to an 18-month lockup, and FFR has secured up to $10 million in PIPE financing. The companies said all closings are expected to be completed by the end of October 2026.
